Please Where do I find LCD HD?

was looking at the lcd TVs at target and they had some LCD HDs that where 37 inches and 42 inches that were under $1,000. The one I was looking at was a memorex 37 inch but it may be sony, i forgot. I just wanna know if the quality is low because of the low price. Where do I get a good priced 37 inched LCD HD TV that has 1080i,complete with high quality HD, and is under a 1000. Also are there any 42 inches under a thousand. Give me some direction because i dont know if i should buy at target.

PS.I have a xbox 360 and I need a tv that is fit for the BOX. THANX

Klegg Media Center HDTV

I recently was offered a good deal on a Klegg Media Center HDTV but I didn’t know anything about it. I am posting on here in the hopes that someone else might have one or that someone can tell me a bit about it so I know whether or not to pursue this deal. Any help you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks

Samsung HPR4272 - playing DVDs in 16:9

Hey, I’m new, just bought my sammy.  I have a question/concern though.  I was under the impression that because my tv is a widescreen, when I rent movies that are in 16:9 format on the back of the box, when I play the movie in my DVD player it should then fill the whole screen.  It doesn’t though, the image still has those two black lines like on regulart 4:3 tvs on the top and bottom.  Do I need a upconverting DVD player or some sort of separate upconverter for watching these?  I feel kinda ripped off after putting out that much money and not getting the full view of the 42″ screen.  Please let me know guys!.. Also, can anyone give me an idea of the prime settings for the video setup (ie contrast, sharpness etc)

Best HDTV for a gamer?

I have a price range of up to $2000 USD but $1500 would be nicer. It’s for my bedroom so around 30-45inches would be the best but you can talk me differently I don’t really know much about them. Please list specfic televisions if possible or just if I should get a CRT, LCD, or plasma would be helpful.
