Altitude Question

I have a Sony KDF-E50A10 LCD Rear-Projection Television. I am thinking about moving out west to Aspen (elevation around 8000 feet) or Jackson Hole (elevation around 6500 feet). Would I have any problems with my TV at those altitudes? Any help is much appreciated.

Front-Projection vs. Rear-Projection: Which is better?

Which is better, Front Projection or Rear Projection TVs? (not which is a better deal)

I am planning on redoing (from the ground up) my basement into a home theater area. The room is medium size so I am probably looking at about a 60″ TV. The size of the devices and lighting in the room are not an issue.

I am looking for the best possible Home Theater Experience, so I want to know what the absolute best system for me to buy would be (no matter the price).

Which technology would be the best for me? Front-Projection or Rear-Projection?

Why are CRTs not being sold anymore?

I’ve been looking to buy a CRT online (Best Buy, Circuit City, Inoax.com, etc.), and merchants are not selling as many as they did before. I only found a couple on each site, and they were usually the store-exclusive brands like Insignia. Why is this? Last year they had many, many more. Are they slowly getting rid of the CRT? And if so, why?

Is the Sharp Aquos really the best LCD?

Is the Sharp Aquos really the best LCD? I’ve heard it is, but does it have the best life too? Can the picture compare to CRTs? I want the sharpest, clearest, best looking HDTV $1,500 can buy.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Wondering about the 50″ Vizio Plasma

I was in the local Sam’s Club yesterday and spotted the Vizio 50″ plasma for $2289. I thought that it looked great; they had it hooked up to a Sony upconvert DVD player through HDMI. The DVD playing was Fantastic 4. I’m trying to stick around the $2000-$2500 range. I was wondering, should I consider this plasma? Another thing, I’m going to use the display with my Xbox 360. I’ve heard that it’s ok, and then I’ve heard that you shouldn’t use a plasma for gaming. Can you or not? Any input would be appreciated.
